MassDOT Industry Day on Allston and Cape Cod Bridge Projects
June 25 from 9-1 at the new Volpe Center in Cambridge now at 220 Binney St.

Security Note from Volpe:
- People whose names are not on the security list provided by MassDOT may not be allowed into the building.
- Travel light! Security is tight in the new building and the Federal Protective Service is operating only one screening line that day. So guests should avoid coming in with a lot of bags, briefcases, other stuff.
- Take the T or plan to park in a private parking garage in Kendall Square. The Kendall Square MBTA station is across the street from the Volpe campus, about a ten-minute walk to the new building. There are only a few spaces available in the garage, and entering it requires additional security screening.
- Remember that the old Volpe building at 55 Broadway is still standing but closed. It’s possible that mapping apps will direct them there, but the address is 220 Binney St. right near the old building. Volpe and FHWA's new building is a white 12 story facility located behind the old concrete Volpe Center.
Discussion will focus on Design Build Procurement for both projects and the resource availability to staff both projects anticipated to be in procurement beginning Sept 2026.
