ACEC/MA is seeking volunteer representatives to serve as Trustees of The Engineering Center Education Trust (TECET). Several terms for our current trustees have ended or will conclude in June, creating an opportunity for new volunteers to join the Board.
Currently TECET is governed by a twelve-person Board of Trustees, with four representatives from each sponsoring society:
- ACEC/MA
- Boston Society of Civil Engineers Section/ASCE (BSCES)
- Massachusetts Association of Land Surveyors and Civil Engineers (MALSCE)
TECET is an educational and charitable nonprofit trust and the owner of One Walnut Street in Boston. TECET’s mission is to enhance the impact of engineers and land surveyors within the Massachusetts community. It cultivates an atmosphere for learning and professional camaraderie, educational and professional development programs, and increased public awareness of our professions. TECET also provides a home and operational support for its Sponsoring organizations and other engineering and land surveying organizations.
ACEC/MA Trustees work with the full TECET Board and Executive Director, Elizabeth Tyminski, to guide the organization in support of its mission. Trustee terms are three years. Because the terms are staggered, one of our current open positions will end on June 30, 2027. Additional details are available in the attached TECET Trustee Board Description.
The Board meets monthly, generally via Zoom, with some in-person meeting options.
A Board of Trustees description can be found here.
