As ACEC/MA celebrates 50 years as the voice of the local engineering industry, the ACEC/MA Board of Directors is excited about the establishment of the ACEC/Massachusetts Presidents’ Scholarship.  The Presidents’ Scholarship is a tribute to the outstanding leaders whose stewardship has successfully guided five decades of accomplishment.  It is our goal to endow the President’s Scholarship in perpetuity as a tribute to our organization’s leaders, past, present and future.  To do this, we appeal to the kind generosity of our members and friends to help build the scholarship fund. 
 

Please consider a tax-deductible gift to the ACEC/MA Presidents’ Scholarship Fund.  Any contribution, large or small, will help us realize our goal of helping deserving engineering students for generations to come who may one day become future leaders in the tradition of our past leaders.  Gifts may be made in honor or in memory of a past-President who has been a leader in your firm, professional colleagues, or simply friends.
 

Marking this significant milestone in our history, 2010 will be a year of “celebrating the past…projecting the future.”  Key to the future will be the next generation of service-minded engineers.  To help foster future engineering leaders, the Presidents’ Scholarship will be awarded to a deserving student matriculating to or enrolled in an undergraduate engineering program or related field of study who exhibits outstanding leadership, service, scholarship and character, qualities emblematic of our past leaders.  Preference will be given to children of employees of ACEC/Massachusetts member firms.  
  

The ACEC/Massachusetts Education Corporation, a 501(c)(3) organization, is administering the scholarship.  The Education Corporation was created and is operated for charitable and educational purposes including the sponsorship and funding of scholarships for engineering and land surveying students.  The Education Corporation is funded through donations from ACEC/Massachusetts, its member firms, employees of members firms, and friends as well as proceeds from certain events and programs.
 

The inaugural President’s Scholarship will be awarded at the ACEC/Massachusetts 50th Anniversary Celebration, Wednesday evening, June 2, 2010 at the Westin Waltham Hotel.  Please join us in “celebrating the past…projecting the future.”
