We set up meetings for you with your legislators. Or, if you are new to the event and want to partner with others who have done this before, we’ll pair you up with engineers and land surveyors and you’ll join them for their legislative appointments.
We hold advance issue briefing sessions to help you prepare to discuss the issues. You can participate in an issue briefing session at The Engineering Center or by conference call.

An important part of our Advocacy efforts is Design Professionals Day; the one day each year when we as a profession gather in force at the State House and present our industry's viewpoints in person to our local legislators. It is a chance for each of us to meet with your State Representative or Senator to discuss issues pertinent to our industry, to you as an individual professional, and to you as a citizen. ACEC/MA sponsors and coordinates this event annually to promote communications with our state legislators, arranging appointments, providing briefing sheets on key issues for ACEC/MA members to utilize, and establishing teams of local residents to meet with their actual legislators.
